Welcome to The Hummingbird House located in the PA Grand Canyon area.

Our four season Hummingbird House is tucked away on 19 wooded acres bordered by thousands of acres of state game land.  We are conveniently located only 10 miles from Wellsboro and 7 miles from the Pine Creek Rails to Trails hiking and biking trails and the Tioga Central Rail Road

The Hummingbird House is a great place to vacation!  We are confident you will enjoy your stay.  Our home is clean and accommodating.  We offer:

• A 6 person hot tub
• 2 bedrooms sleeping a family of 6+,
• Fully equipped kitchen
• Living room: High speed internet, TV with DVD use only

• 2 outdoor fire pits including a brookside fire pit in the front yard

Relax at our remote cottage year round. There is plenty to do locally or by taking day trips, but you may want to slow down and simply take pleasure in the serenity and beauty outside your door while you sit on the porch swing taking in the sights, sounds and smells of nature.  The abundant fruit trees in the front yard attract wild life such as bear, dear and turkey.  The bird feeders invite a variety of beautiful feathered friends including our namesake Hummingbirds. Bring your yard games and have fun playing in the large, front lawn. As the sun is setting, you can start your bonfire in one of two fire pits; either by the seasonal brook in the front yard or off the back deck near the hot tub.  Enjoy roasting your favorite victuals and storytelling with your friends and family as the stars begin to emerge.  May we suggest finishing off the day in the immaculate hot tub on the beautiful back deck either to soothe your sore muscles after a long day of strenuous activity or to cap off your relaxing day at home?  The hot tub runs year round and is wonderful after a cold day of snowmobiling or skiing in the winter, or it’s great for star gazing any time of year. When renting the Hummingbird House, you are renting the ground level of the vacation home.  To maintain the cleanliness you can expect when arriving, we ask that you leave the cottage as clean as you found it.  We do not allow smoking or pets.  We supply pillows and blankets, but you will need to bring your own linens and towels.

Take advantage of the wide array of nearby activities and attractions for all four seasons:  

• Pine Creek Gorge: also know as the PA Grand Canyon
• Hiking, biking, horseback riding:  Pine Creek Rail Trail: 57+ miles of uninterrupted pleasure
• Boating, fishing, swimming, picnicking, playgrounds etc at nearby State parks (Leonard Harrison State Park, Colton Point State Park, Hills Creek) and lakes including: Tioga, Hammond, Cowanaesque, Hills Creek Lake, Hamilton, Nessmuk and Beechwood.
• White water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, etc. Pine Creek.
• Winter Activities: Snowmobiling, Cross-country and downhill skiing, ice fishing, guided winter hikes, and snowshoeing.-

• Bird Watching: Marsh Creek Wetlands (or at The Hummingbird House!)
